Poster Design Inspiration from Bollywood Movies [2011 version]
Bollywood is now inching closer to hollywood each day. But when we take a look at the quality of production hollywood pruction houses put up for creatives in their project, looks like bollywood is still running 2-3 years behind. The graphics / VFX in Robot starring Rajnikanth even made hollywood audience talk about it, but maybe it was because one of the hollywood studios was roped in for visual effects (VFX). But for some reason the same cannot be said bollywood promotional posters which are not up to the mark in terms of design trends, creativity. Some Posters like Aarakshan, Mausam, Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl, Rockstar couldnt make to this list. Hope bollywood producers invests in good young talented Indian designers than sticking to those same old school designers who have little knowledge of current design trends. Having said all that some of the posters are still worth mentioning. If you are an Indian you might not find this post all that exciting, but if you are not this is the best bollywood can offer to you until things change.

Really great collection. Many Indian artists used to make a living by hand-painting movie billboards and posters so it would be interesting to see some of those as well
