chethStudios Design Magazine Redesigned
It time to say good by to our previous dark blog design. Why the redesign? Honestly speaking a white minimalistic design blog performs much better than compared to a dark one. With more users clicking through and browsing the internal pages of blog. And when we did a survey on facebook we found out that most of our readers actually prefer white website design over a darker one. So here is the re-design! Lots of New Posts lined up for next month. Hope you guys will like it. Please drop your comments and let us know about your views. PS: Couple of minor glitches yet to be fixed hopefully by this weekend!

If you are a regular reader of chethstudios then you will also notice that the logo is not redesigned entirely but its a combination of our previous two logos. Hope you guys remember this post. Few screenshots of chethstudios over the years!

I love the new design. I really liked the dark page though, it relaxes my eyes to look at dark pages instead of white ones. And I will ‘like’ the FB page NOW!
I have to admit I am a once a month reader… -_-’ sorry! Not that it is not a great site I just have hardly time to read at all.
Anyway congrats on the redesign it looks fantastic (like you ;-p)

Strange!
Everyone else says the opposite way… they usually say its easy to on white background.

But yeah even I find dark designs more relaxing

Awesome design! Totally in love. Though feels like the new theme takes a bit more time to load than the old one.

I must agree with Mirijam about the dark relax feeling
but in the other hand i felt this new redesign more simple and effect for what a website magazine should be. I like it in the oversall e think the only thing you may work a bit is maybe the logo… i saw other versions of the logo that would fix really great here.

If you had minimalism in mind then I would say you have done a great job.
The pattern in the footer area is really nicely done separates the whole page evenly. The top menu is nicely done can surely say you inspired by facebook, the use of social media icon on right is nice.
I think you need to highlight your main content area with different background color, which i feel would make the whole site look more live.
The post title & thumbnail image at start of page looks superb.

I am great fan of minimalistic design.And this new design is the best when compared to your previous webdesign.And will be waiting for more tutorials and updates on upcoming weeks

Nice! Change can be fun. I’m still not sure whether I like the black or white better though. It definitely has a clean minimalistic vibe, and is very fast to load on my podunk DSL connection. I think I like them both, lol!
I’ve been following this blog since the first screenshot design, and it has definitely been a fun ride!
