Tilt-shift photography are of two different types of movements: rotation of the lens plane relative to the image plane, called tilt, and movement of the lens parallel to the image plane, called shift. refers to the use of camera movements on small- and medium-format cameras, and sometimes specifically refers to the use of tilt for selective focus, often for simulating a miniature scene. used when the shallow depth of field is simulated with digital postprocessing; the name may derive from the tilt-shift lens normally required when the effect is produced optically. Selective focus via tilt is often used to simulate a miniature scene, though as noted above, the effect is somewhat different from the shallow DoF in close-up photography of miniature subjects. Selective focus can be used to direct the viewer's attention to a small part of the image while de-emphasizing other parts. Here are some of fake tilt shifts and miniature photographs some of them processed on Photoshop. If you are learning it its adviced to do it the traditional way and not faux tilt shits. Desktop Wallpaper Calendar August 2010
August is already here! August is a Special Month to us, Its our Second birthday! Thanks for all the love, And Like always we have a stunning Monthly Desktop Wallpaper Calendar for our readers. This is a Typographic Wallpaper I had designed for a friends birthday party. She insisted me to convert this to a desktop wallpaper, the original resolution was huge and had to be trimmed down and edited the text to August. The 3D feel has been processed entirely on photoshop. We have 14 Wallpapers of Different Screen Resolutions: 7 Wallpapers with the calendar and 7 without one to the users who just want the plain wallpaper. Dont forget to check out our previous month desktop wallpaper calendars, we have included a non-calendar version so the wallpapers remain useful even years after they’ve been released. You Can also download the previous month calendars and use the wallpaper.

Completing our Texture Packs feature, we have some useful free leather texture packs which can be used in character modelling or photo manipulation as skin texture or for animals. Of all the textures, (ie. Wood, Rust, Metallic and concrete textures) leather textures come into use in creating any realistic object in photoshop. So for a designer its a must to have in his/her design toolbox. Of course, We are not supporting people who kill animals for leather, before some of you non designers yell at me let me tell you, we do it on Photoshop so its safe! ;) Please read the author details before using the stock texture packs.
